The Schörling enterprise over the years

One of the most popular names for 2-way special-purpose vehicles was SCHÖRLING. Heinrich Schörling, a senior engineer and at the same time founder of the special-purpose vehicle construction enterprise, became an independent entrepreneur in 1920.

Even in the early years, the company located in Lower Saxony area begat to supply all possible special-purpose vehicles to road maintenance operators, service providers and municipal works within Germany and abroad.

Rail-bound special-purpose vehicles for whole of Europe were built in the workshops of Schörling GmbH & Co. Wagon building from railroad agricultural wagons to most popular rail grinder, curve greasing and cleaning vehicles and gradually also vehicles based on motor vehicles. Until 1995, Schörling Wagon building works in Hanover Linden produced a wide range of special-purpose vehicles for road and railways, from airfield cleaners to pavement sweeping machines, from rail grinder vehicles to 2-way vehicles.

After 75 years of existence, the company ran into economic problems. The Swiss took over the works and built since then road sweeping machines of the brand Bucher-Schörling at the headquarters.

A few years later, Schörling-Brock GmbH founded under the aegis of the former production manager Albert Brock managed to take over the division for special-purpose and 2-way vehicles.

Until 2007 special-purpose vehicles, especially the overhead maintenance and rail/point cleaning vehicles were manufactured. After an investor took over the Schörling-Brock GmbH enterprise in July 2007, former managing director Heinrich Scheiter together with his partners founded SCHÖRLING RAIL TECH GMBH with its headquarters in Sehnde. The main focus there is on development and manufacture of rail-bound vehicles for 2-way vehicles (they are also assembled on particularly "exotic" vehicles), and overhead maintenance and rail track cleaning vehicles, including rail vehicles in a wide range of variations for different applications. At the company’s main factory, repair jobs and servicing for 2-way vehicles are carried out for vehicles originating from different manufacturers.
